In order to keep the proportions similar, you need to size down all the ribbon widths, as well as the overall size of the bow (probably to about 4.5-5&quot; wide), which means each ribbon length will be shorter than what is stated.  

I suggest you experiment a bit.  Consider starting with 5&quot; lengths for the bottom layer, which is roughly 75% of the original length.  Then cut the other lengths to about 75% of the length stated.  Don&#039;t cut everything upfront, just enough to get an idea of how the proportions will work.  If it looks promising, go for it.  You can also consult the ribbon lengths recommended in my free instructions for the different size bows, just to get an idea of how the ribbon lengths affect the finished bow size.  Let me know how you make out!</description>

		<description>For this bow, could you use 1.5 inch instead of the 2.25 inch?  Would I need to down size the rest of the ribbon  too?  I do make bows but 1.5 inch is about as big as I go.  Thanks for you help.</description>
